The 43m High Performance Sloop was conceived in collaboration with Germán Frers Design for naval architecture and exterior styling, and Rhoades Young for interior design and styling. The intent was to design and pre engineer a modern yet ageless design that would exceed the expectations of the most discerning client. A design that selectively used rather than abused the vast abundance of technical innovations available to today’s yachtsmen. Noting a change in customer sentiment, a “quality up quantity down – less is more” philosophy became the final design brief.

The Frers design team chose to draw a powerful, easily driven high performance hull form with a fine forward entry. A modern, crisp sheer line balances the profile of a deck salon that integrates an expansive integrated bimini over the main cockpit and a center cockpit just forward of the helm stations. Paying particular attention to the underbody Frers drew a moderate draft, fixed bulb keel with short chord length; a fully balanced carbon fiber spade rudder is controlled by a mechanical steering system to maximize sensitivity and responsiveness under sail. The carbon fiber high-aspect sloop rig by master sparmaker Rondal offers powerful windward performance and low aerodynamic drag, whilst an in-boom furling system provides ease of control requiring minimal crew.
